The peculiar weapon of the Red God's followers fighting in Stannis' ranks resembles the Lightbringer, the legendary flaming sword of Azor Ahai only in appearance. These fanatics simply pour a mixture of oils over their blades, which, when set on fire, briefly emit tremendous heat. Although they are not heavily armoured, the Followers of R`hllor, thanks to their unwavering faith, do not retreat from anyone on the battlefield. Even if they fall, their deaths sometimes inspire their comrades to redouble their efforts.
