These squads of Crusaders, imbued with the post-human power of the Primaris miracle, move into battle with blazing rifles and howling chain swords of the Astartes. The initiators aim streams of fire from their pyreblasts or brandish crackling fists of power at their enemies, while the savvy Neophytes fight fiercely to prove their combat worth. Led by a veteran sword brother, the Crusader squads mix brand-new Initiated Primaris with Neophytes testing their mettle. Like many Black Templars troops, they are equipped with an array of melee and ranged weapons. The six Initiated Primaris have a variety of helmeted and helmetless heads. Two Initiates can be built with an automatic rifle or heavy pistol and Astartes chain sword, while the third can be built with an automatic rifle, pyreblaster or heavy bolt pistol and Astartes chain sword, with the option to change the chain sword to a power fist. Alternatively, one Novice can be built as a Sword Brother, who has a choice of helmeted and helmetless heads. He can be built with a power sword or power axe and a heavy bolt pistol or stacking pistol. The four Neophytes have four head options without helmets and can be equipped with bolt rifles or bolt pistols and Astartes chain swords.
