Although the craft of war in the South is mostly carried out by men, the women of the Free People are able to keep up with them on the battlefield. The female spearmen - although they will not do well as a line unit - are well suited for flanking manoeuvres, whether as assault groups or to defend against enemy charges. Their spears may seem primitive, but they are cheap, easy to produce and widely available, and the Spearmen can throw them with deadly accuracy.
