The Order of Chaplains, created at the end of the Great Crusade, was tasked with creating a cadre of awe-inspiring war veterans who would ensure consistency of doctrine and faith in the dispersed and increasingly non-specific Legions. These officers are fanatical examples of the Astartes' oath of war, wielding their deadly badge of office - the Crozius Arcanum - and inspiring their allies on the battlefield.
You can build one Praetor of the Legion of Cataphractia and one Consul of the Legion of Chaplain from this multi-part plastic set. Each is an ideal leader for Legiones Astartes troops and can support larger armies when needed. Clad in the mighty armour of the Cataphractii Terminator, the Praetor can survive a firestorm to answer it with his roaring chain fist and devastating combi-melta. He can also be fielded as a Legion Cataphractii Centurion. The Legion Consul Chaplain incites his comrades to relentless fury, armed with a plasma pistol and ornate Crozius Arcanium. These models do not have Legion markings, allowing Warhammer hobbyists to paint them in any colours they wish - however, a transfer sheet with 339 optional markings and iconography for the Legion Sons of Horus and Imperial Fists is included in the box.
