DAUGHTERS OF KHAINE MELUSAI

The Bloodhunters are elite Morathi archers, venomous sentinels who spread death from afar. Each carries a Heartseeker bow, a weapon carved from the wood of the sentient ashdusk tree. The arrows fired from these bows are bloodthirsty. Arrows blessed by the Queen and imbued with the same spells that guide Morathi's spear, Heartrender. With unbelievable accuracy, these projectiles flash across the battlefield to pierce their target through and through. In close combat, the Bloodhunters wield scianlars, long daggers forged to absorb energy from the vital organs of their enemies. These are not offerings to Khaine, but a tribute intended to strengthen the true master of Melusai, Morathi.

Blood Sisters are powerful warriors used as bodyguards for High Priestesses or Blood Medusa, or as a powerful advance guard for war covens. Each Blood Sister is equipped with a Heartshard Glaive - a heavy polearm ideal for piercing armour and ribs to cut out the heart of an opponent. The Blood Sisters are also able to channel the blackness of their tainted souls into a strike known as the 'scáth touch', turning victims into a motionless crystal statue that retains a terrifying consciousness. The pinnacle of cruelty is for a Blood Sister to thrust her sword fast enough to rip out her opponent's beating heart, while the scáth's touch turns them into crystal, imprisoning them forever in a state of unimaginable agony.
