SPOROCYST AND MUCOLID SPORE / TYRANNOCYTE (MO)

The Tyranid Sporocyst and Tyrannocyte are bioengineered monstrosities designed to deliver Tyranid reinforcements and disrupt enemy forces. These adaptable constructs are critical components in the Tyranid swarm’s planetary invasions, offering strategic deployment and offensive capabilities.

Sporocyst and Mucolid Spore

The Sporocyst is a stationary, burrowing bioform that embeds itself into the ground to terraform the battlefield. It spreads clouds of toxic microorganisms to alter the environment, while its multiple weapon symbiotes—armed with deathspitters, barbed stranglers, or venom cannons—make it a dangerous fortification.
Accompanying the Sporocyst, the Mucolid Spore moves through the air with unsettling speed, exploding with deadly force upon impact. This adds an element of aerial threat to the Tyranid strategy. The kit also allows the assembly of six additional Spore Mines to sow further chaos.

Tyrannocyte

The Tyrannocyte is a transport organism spat from hive ships, hurtling through planetary atmospheres to deliver Tyranid reinforcements. Upon impact, its chitinous body splits open, disgorging a host of Tyranids onto the battlefield. The Tyrannocyte can be armed with a variety of symbiotic weapons, including deathspitters, barbed stranglers, or venom cannons, and its carapace can be modeled either closed or open, simulating its atmospheric descent.
