Tactical troops are the backbone of the Legions of Space Marines, highly versatile infantry units that can attack and defend at will, storm heavily fortified positions, capture and hold strategic targets - or simply slaughter the enemy - in almost any terrain and situation. All 18 legions make use of tactical troops in various ways - it is thanks to the combat power of thousands of such superhuman warriors, armed with deadly bolters and armoured to fight in the toughest war zones, that the Empire has made its bloody way across the galaxy at the head of the Great Crusade.

The 'Corvus' MKVI armour is the most advanced type of armour approved for mass production during the Horus Heresy, featuring the iconic bow helmet and additional sensors. Production of these suits continued even as the worlds of the Forge were shaken by civil wars, and these armours became commonplace in the years following the Heresy.

You can build 20 Space Marine Legionnaires from this multi-part plastic set, which can be used in Warhammer: Heresy of Horus as a Legion tactical squad of 20 models or two units of 10 models each. Each of these Legionnaires is armed with an Umbra bolter and bolt pistol, with many additional items such as grenades and pouches, and can be equipped with a bayonet or chain bayonet for close combat. You can also build up to two Legionnaires with the Legion vexilla, two with the nuncio-vox and two with the auguria scanner. Accessories and alternative heads are included to build a Legion Tactical Sergeant for each unit - the set offers many additional weapon options for these unit commanders, including plasma pistols, power swords, power fists and lightning claws. These models do not have Legion markings, so Warhammer hobbyists can paint them in any colours they wish - however, a transfer sheet with 339 optional markings and iconography for the Sons of Horus and Imperial Fists Legions is included in the box.

You will need a copy of Warhammer: Horus Heresy - Age of Darkness Rulebook and Liber Astartes: Loyalist Legiones Astartes Army Book or Liber Hereticus: Traitor Legiones Astartes Army Book to get the most out of these models.
