A militaristic, mercantile society, completely disconnected from the other duardin branches inhabiting the Mortal Kingdoms, the Lords of Kharadron treat war and trade as the same thing - a means of accumulating wealth, and they excel at both. Above all else, they seek ether gold - this lighter-than-air element is the lifeblood of their society, keeping their cities aloft, powering their ships and fuelling their elaborate armour. Large sky-high flotillas of warships descend from dozens of sky-high ports when rich deposits are discovered; the Lords of Kharadron will fight fiercely to claim this vital substance and the status it brings.
