ADEPTUS MECHANICUS: ARCHAEOPTER

The Archaeopter is an agile fixed-wing aircraft that serves not only in the toxic Martian skies, but also on distant worlds that have been a prime target for expansion by the Priests of Technology for millennia. Piloted by a member of the Pteraxii caste whose legs and scapuli superior are built into its controls, the Archaeopter's nano-carbon weave of wings is capable of morphing - a property shared with Pteraxii flight packs. This provides great manoeuvrability and allows it to operate in variable conditions, whether on search missions or delivering groups of deadly men behind enemy lines or into the heart of battle.

In addition to being able to transport up to six Secutaria, Electro-Priest, Tech-Priest or Skitarii models, the Archaeopter Transvector is armed with two heavy stubbers and a twin heavy stubber with which it can conduct covering fire.

Archaeopter Stratoraptor is heavily armed, its armament including two heavy cognis stubbers, two heavy phosphorus blasters and a twin lascannon cognis.

The Fusilave Archaeopter is armed with four heavy cognis plates and a tectomagnetic ammunition reservoir, which it can drop from above on enemy ground forces.
