The novices of the Order of Dragon Knights are those Easterling warriors who have dedicated their lives to mastering the martial arts, inspired by their role model, Amdûr. Hundreds of aspirants will demonstrate their skills to the knights serving as shrine keepers, but only a few will be invited to stay and begin training in earnest. Although their lives are lonely by choice and they only accept a handful of warriors, when the call of war thunders in Rhûn, the Dragon Knights respond - and their talents are enough to turn the tide of battle.
No one can say exactly what drove the Easterlings to worship the Dark Lord. They worship him, willingly offering their lives on countless battlefields. The most important of these worshippers are the War Priests, who whip the people around them into a battle rage, ignoring injuries or dealing sword blows with incredible force.
