The most barbaric and brutal of the Uruk-hai are the Berserkers, crazed assassins who are thrown into battle to break enemy lines and secure a stronghold during sieges. Before they are freed, their helmets are filled with blood and then brutally thrown over their heads. This hideous ritual drives the Berserkers to a murderous state where they ignore danger and injuries on their way to tear the enemy apart.
