Spearmen of the Dreadfort

The primary troops of House Bolton, the spearmen are trained according to a fighting philosophy of creating fear and panic in enemy ranks at every opportunity. Although they are not heavily armed or armored, they are still a fearsome unit on the battlefield. Their helmets and shields have spikes welded onto them, which are designed less for combat use during a brutal battle and more to sow fear in the enemy's ranks - many will lose their minds when they see the ranks of monstrous foes strewn with spikes in front of them. Spearmen train to hit enemies with precision to inflict terrible wounds, but not necessarily to kill the enemy, Captives taken in battle will serve the cruel play of the Dreadfort rulers.
